I wait all year for these suckers to bloom. Their season is so short... kind of like peaches. Don't you ever wish peaches would ripen more than once a year? But OH... when they bloom they are marvelous - they are definately worth the wait.
Peonies are at the top of my favorite flowers list.
After they wilted and were tossed... I promptly picked some more flowers. LILACS. They smell so good.
