A huNTing wE wILL gO!

We live at the base of these hills. The boys especially like to go out and look for animals, they have been up a few times this spring. This was the first time I went along.

This day they were hunting rock chucks. The only things I shot were pictures. They did shoot at some rock chucks but I wouldn't say they shot too much of really anything. I think they go 'hunting' just to get out, goof off and have fun. They do spend quite a bit of time looking through their binoculars. That's when I pull out my book and sit on a rock and read.

As a side note: The local 'grocery store' had a rock chuck contest - which I thought was kind of odd. Drag this tick infested rodent into the store and weigh it... mmm?

Hi ho - hi ho - off to shoot we go.

Aaron's pose....

My sister Ariel spent the weekend with us. It's always fun to have her here.

Which one is Curly and which one is Moe?

Missouri

I went along with my brother Chase and his family to Missouri. Most of the time was spent cleaning, unpacking and holding baby Emmett.

Here are a few of my favorite pics. Most of them are of flowers. As you can tell, I have a thing for flowers. Maybe that is why I studied Horticulture in college.

Poor Emmett got sick, I took advantage of getting to snuggle with him.

This picture makes me want to dress up and take a stroll with my Mr. Knightley

Kansas City, MO Temple

Chase and I drove the U haul to Missouri. Driving across Wyoming and Nebraska I couldn't help but think about the pioneers who came across the plains. They left Beautiful Nauvoo and the further thy came west the uglier, more desolate, and harder it got. What great faith!

The Kansas City, Mo. Temple, a.k.a. Far West Temple,  is such a testament of the sacrifice of the pioneers.
You could just feel the special spirit for that temple - even during it's construction.

Family Time

The first of May my brother and his family moved to Missouri... sniff, sniff.
                         Infact, I bawled.

These pictures were just before they left.

Me and Kesley

She's not quite sure about me :)

All my nieces and nephews

Aaron hates dirty diapers... Chase slipped one in when he was passed out.

FARM CHICKS!

Last weekend was the big Farm Chicks Antique sale. People traveled far and near. Atleast, we travelled far - far to Spokane, WA.

Four girls + money in the wallet + big empty Yukon = LOTS OF SHOPPING.

Finally, after waiting in line - the entrance...

the shopping...

the motto...

the loot... (now full yukon = empty wallets + tired feet + no more shopping)

It was a great trip and lots of fun. A few other things we enjoyed:

all the wonderful food...

the town Wallace...

the car ride of cackling (what Aaron calls girls talking)...

the two hour traffic jam...

the cause of our traffic jam (a semi wrecked filled with smelly frozen fish)

And finally, all the other wonderful stores Spokane has to offer.

Near the mall there is this cute little store. As we drive by, one says "Look what a cute name!"

The other says, "Look what cute font!"

The third says, "I bet they sell cute stuff!"

In unison they say "Let's check it out!"

So sad... it was closed.

They had no idea I was behind taking pictures.

Mi familia

Shoshone Falls

During Memorial weekend we went to see the impressive falls. The river was so high and so much water was spilling that it was misting rain on us in the parking lot.

We oohed and awed for a few minutes and then went to the park near the falls.

Just not quite sure she can jump that far!

No fear!

Hot coco was the perfect touch....

Who knew that a packet of apple cider mix would be sooooo good.

SO good it WARRANTED a LICK to make sure she got the VERY last BITE!

Two Uncles are WAY better than a CARNIVAL ride.
